From 9th of April 2018 until 15th of April 2018, our fare control staff activity was focused on Expres lines and the bus line number 40 monitoring the tapping of travel cards and tickets and boarding the first door. During the mentioned period, 29 civil penalties were issued and our staff was on board trying to discourage the travelers without cards and tickets, the beggars and also the travelers with extensive luggage causing discomfort for other riders.

Next week, from 16th of April until 22nd of April 2018, S.T.P.T.’s fare control staff will continue its activity on the Expres lines and bus line number 40 in order to ensure the efficiency of last week’s controls. Travelers will be informed regarding the mandatory of tapping the card when boarding for all transportation beneficiaries with the purpose of enhancing a civilized and operative urban transportation system.

From 2nd of April 2018 until 8th of April 2018, the fare control activity was focused primarily on the Expres Line number 7 and all the other lines that ensure the connection with the important shopping centers in our city. Besides checking the travel cards/tickets, our staff steered the travelers towards using the first door when boarding. The passengers who traveled without valid tickets or valid travel cards were disembarked and several civil penalties were issued.
Next week, our fare control staff will be monitoring the boarding using the first door on all Expres lines, trolleybus lines and the bus line number 40.
We remind our travelers that our fare control staff and our drivers/tram drivers do not sell tickets. The list with all our ticket offices and economic operators that sell paper tickets is available on our web site, at http://www.stpt.ro/taxare/retea.htm.

In Easter Vigil, Timisoara Public Transport Company will extend the hours of the major public transportation lines, such as tram lines number 2, 7 and 8, trolleybus lines number 14 and 15, bus line number 33 and Expres line number 7. These means of transportation will operate until 3:30 am. but will be stationed in the loops during the Resurrection Service, between 00: 00 and 01:30 am.
During the Easter Celebration holiday, the bus line number 33 barred will operate as follows: on 7th of April 2018, the last departure from Metro Station will be at 18:58 pm.; on 8th of April 2018, this line will not be operational.
The day after Easter, on 9th of April 2018, all means of transportation will operate according to Sunday hours.
Friday, 06th of April 2018, our ticket offices will be open as usual, Saturday, the ticket offices from 700 Square and Corneliu Miklosi Transport Museum will operate from 06:00 am. until 14:00 pm. On Easter day the day after Easter all ticket offices will be closed.

The fare control actions from 26th of March 2018 until 30th of March 2018 were focused on the Metropolitan Lines. We would like to thank our Metropolitan travelers for their awareness in using the „Electronic wallet” or their travel card.
Next week, from 2nd of April 2018 until 8th of April 2018, our fare control staff will be monitoring the Expres line number 7, but also the other lines that ensure the connection with the shopping centers in our town(Expres lines number 1 and 2, bus lines 33 and 33 barred, trolleybus lines number 14 and 17). Since Easter Celebration is fast approaching, we will conduct several preventive actions with the assistance of the Gendarmerie and Timisoara's Local Police in order to maintain the safety of our travelers.

Due to HBO Europe’s filming a TV series in Timisoara, our company has to adjust the routes of certain means of transportation.
Saturday, from 07:30 until 15:30, General Ion Dragalina Boulevard will be closed between Garii/Railway Street and King Carol I/Regele Carol Street. Tram lines number 1, 8 and 9 and bus line number3/Expres line number 3 will be amended as follows:
- tram lines number 1 and 8 from King Carol I/Regele Carol Boulevard to Dambovita Boulevard on Preyer Street, Ion Barac Street, Dambovita loop and return.
- tram line’s number 9 end of line will be at Dambovita loop.
- bus line number 3/Expres line number 3 will follow its regular route on Nicolae Titulescu Street and General Ion Dragalina Boulevard; but, as per Timisoara’s Local Police request, from time to time, during the filming period, the bus will be diverted on Jiul Street and Republic /Republicii Boulevard.
The connection between The North Railway and tram lines number 1, 8 and 9 will be ensured by a bus from Mocioni Square to King Carol I Boulevard (on the tram’s platform), Iuliu Maniu Boulevard, Pop de Basesti Street, Garii/Railway Street, Republic/Republicii Boulevard, Queen Mary/Regina Maria Square and return (between Vacarescu Street and General Ion Dragalina Boulevard the bus will use the tram’s platform).
Sunday, 1st of April 2018, from 07:30 until 17:30, the access on 16th of December 1989 Boulevard, Gheorghe Doja Street, Tudor Vladimirescu Street and Traian Bridge will be restricted. Tram lines 1, 2, 7 and 8, bus lines 33, 33 barred and Expres lines 3 and 7 will be amended as follows:
-tram lines number 1 and 2 will be diverted from 700 Square on Brediceanu Street, Cetatii Boulevard, Tortontal loop and return.
-tram line number 7 from Dambovita loop to Ana Ipatescu Street, Victor Hugo Street, Drubeta Street, Liviu Rebreanu Boulevard, AEM loop and return.
-tram line number 8 from The North Railway on General Ion Dragalina Boulevard, King Carol I Boulevard, Preyer Street, Ion Barac Street, Dambovita Boulevard, Liviu Rebreau Boulevard, AEM loop and return.
-bus lines 33 and 33 barred and Expres line number 7 will have turning loop in Mocioni Square.
-Expres line number 3 will be diverted from Vasile Parvan Boulevard on 20th of December 1989 Street, King Ferdinand I Boulevard, 16th of December 1989 Boulevard and Nicole Titulescu Street.

Next week, from 26th of March 2018 until 2nd of April 2018, our fare control staff will focus on the metropolitan lines. We remind our users that traveling on the Metropolitan lines is possible only by travel card or by “Portofel electronic/Electronic wallet” from the travel card. The paper tickets are not available on these lines.
We will also conduct fare controls actions on the Expres line bus number 1 not only checking the travel cards or tickets, but also the complying with the schedule as generally established and the embarkment rate. The boarding is always mandatory on the first door for both travel cards and tickets users.
We remind Timisoara’s citizens and our visitors that in the next days, delays are possible due to inclement weather. Stations crews have been working since Thursday night to ensure that our tracks are as clear as possible and our stops/platforms are safe for customers. On 25th of March 2018, from 08:00 until 15:00, due to the 21 K SportGuru International Half Marathon, Timisoara Public Transport Company will alter the following transport routes:
- the tram line number 1 will operate from North Railway Station on Piata Maria/ Maria Square, Piata Balcescu/Balcescu Square, Banatim, Piata Traian/Traian Square, Piata Badea Cartan/Badea Cartan Square, Est Railway Station and will return on the same route.
- the tram line number 2 will operate from Dambovita on Piata Maria/Maria Square, Piata Balcescu/Balcescu Square, Banatim, Piata Traian/Traian Square, Piata Badea Cartan/Badea Cartan Square, Est Railway Station and will return on the same route.

The fare control actions will proceed on the most used lines in the city and on the lines that issued the most complaints from travelers. We will act on Expres lines number 2 and 8, tram lines number 4, 8 and 9, and on the trolleybus lines number 14, 15,16 and 17.

As of 14th of 2018, the 28 bus line route will be adjusted according to the newly established one-way on Titeica Street. The changes will only affect Crisan Ward where the 28 bus line will operate on Valisoara Street, Titeica Street, Ismail Street, Luncani Street and will return on Valisoara Street and Rozelor Street. The new bus stops in Crisan Ward will be: a counterpart bus stops at number 4, Valisoara Street, before Titeica Street; Gheorghe Titeica bus stop, at number 20 on Ismail Street, Ismail bus stop on number 73, Luncani Street and Luncani bus stop at number 7 on Luncani Street.

In an effort to provide reliable services, at clients’ request, the 33 barred bus line will be extended to Catedrala Mitropolitana Station. From Piata Sinaia Station the buses will continue along the 16th of December 1989 Boulevard, Regele Ferdinand Boulevard and Tudor Vladimirescu Boulevard, and back on its previous route. The new route will benefit from two bus stops, Catedrala Mitropolitana bus stop and Andrei Saguna Bridge bus stop.

In order to increase the efficiency of payment for renewing the travel cards, the discounts and concessions office from Dambovita Boulevard and all the other tickets offices will be equipped with P.O.S. terminals. From 6th of March 2018, our customers will be able to purchase travel cards and tickets using the payment cards.

The fare control actions from 12nd of February 2018 until 18th of February 2018 were focused on the ascertainment and sanction of the fare dodgers.The fare evasion operations aimed the tram lines from Traian Square/Piata Traian, 700 Square/Piata 700, Maria Square/Piata Maria, The North Railway Station and the tram line number 9.
Our staff delivered 15 civil penalties and requested the intervention of the Police and Gendarmerie in order to identify and sanction 5 persons who were drunk and displayed insulting words and menaces to the drivers.
From 26th of February 2018 until 4th of February 2018, the fare evasion actions will focus on banning the travel in Torontal, AEM, and Ciarda Rosie’s loop lines. On Expres lines number 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and also on the Metropolitan lines, the fare control staff will screen the cards and tickets while boarding the first door of the buses.
Please keep in mind that tapping the card when boarding helps us establish the embarkment rate and by default, the schedule of the means of transportation. In order to ensure a decent transport system, we ask for your cooperation in maintaining the cleanliness and integrity of our means of transport.

Travelers were forwarded towards our offices in order to renew the validity of their cards and were reminded to always tap the card once they enter the bus/tram/trolleybuses, especially those benefiting from our concessions.
Our staff control agents were focused not only on checking the travel cards or tickets but also in maintaining the schedule as generally established and the cleaning of our means of transportation.
 Next week, from 5th of February 2018 until 11th of February 2018, our fare control staff will converge their actions on the Metropolitan lines M11, M14, M22, M29, M35 and M44, bus lines number 33, 33 barred, 40, 13 and 5, Expres line number 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8, trolleybus lines number 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 and tram lines number 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 and 9.

The control actions from 22nd of January 2018 - 28th of January 2018 were conducted in order to raise awareness about the necessity of tapping the travel card when boarding. Those who didn’t have valid tickets/travel cards were directed towards our offices. All travelers were reminded that the cards must always be tapped when boarding, especially those benefiting from our concessions.
Our fare control staff recalled that is forbidden to use the means of transportation in the loop line. In order to ensure a decent and safe transport system and at travelers’ demands, our staff control descended the homeless people that caused problems and discomfort to the passengers.

Pupils and students were recommended to renew their travel cards in our company's offices; all travelers, especially those who benefit from our concessions, were  reminded to always tap the card once they enter the bus/tram/trolleybuse.
Next week, from  22nd of January 2018 to 28th of January 2018, our fare control staff will converge their actions on the Metropolitan lines M11, M14, M22, M29, M35 and M44, bus lines number 33, 33 barred, 40 and 5, Expres line number 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8, trolleybus lines number 15, 16, 17 and 18 and tram lines number 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 and 9.
18.01.2018 - Changes  regarding the trolleybus's 14 and M14 route and Expres line bus's  3 route
Starting from 19th of January 2018, the trolleybus lines number 14 and M14 will return to their previous route. The trolleybus stop from Eroilor Cementary  on Calea Aradului will be set on Calea Sever Bocu, the rest of the bus stops will maintain their current position.
We also inform you that, starting from 20th of January 2018,  the route of Expres line bus number 3 is subject to the following changes: the bus will no longer continue its route from Calea Martirilor on Gospodarilor Street, Muzicescu Street, Anisoara Odeanu Street and Mures Street, but will follow Calea Martirilor route to the roundabout near the entry of the communal area of Giroc and will return on Calea Martirilor.
The Expres line bus stop from Gospodarilor Street will be cancelled and a new bus stop will be set after the roundabout on Calea Martirilor.

We remind you that our conccesion counter was relocated on Dambovita Boulevard, near Alpha Centre and the working hours are from 08:00 to 16:00. The ticket office from Piata 700 can also assist you in substituting the damaged or lost travel cards.
Please keep in mind that you should always tap the card when using the local means of transportation even if you are a concession incumbent, as stipulated in the Local Council's Decision number 371/2007.

Following the request of travellers and employees in the Freidorf area, Timisoara Public Transport Company informs you that, starting from 8th of January 2018, the bus line number 3 will change its route. The bus will follow the same way from The North Railway Station to CFR Passage, but will be stray on Ovidiu Cotrus street - Wilhelm Tell street - Paul Morand street- the roundabout and will return on the same route. The number 3 bus way on Polona street will be canceled; the only bus that will pass by this route will be the Expres 7 bus.
A new pair of  counterparts bus stops will be establish after the crossroads between Wilhelm Tell street and Paul Morand street.

Changes to the Ticket offices opening hours
During winter holidays, the ticket offices opening hours will be adjusted as followed: on 25th and 26th of December 2017, on 1st and 2nd of January 2018, all the ticket offices will be closed. On 24th of December 2017 and on 31st of December 2017, the only ticket office available will be the one in Piata 700, from 08:00 to 16:00.
We would also like to inform you that, starting January 2018, our ticket office from Piata Balcescu will operate from Monday - Friday from 06:00 to 21:30 and will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. The ticket office from 83rd, Take Ionescu Boulevard, will be open from Monday - Friday from 06:00 until 21:30, on Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and will be closed on Sunday.
The ticket office from 3rd Dambovita Boulevard will operate only from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.
The ticket office from Piata 700 will operate daily, from 06:00 to 21:30; on Saturday and Sunday the lost /damaged cards can be replaced by new ones in this particular location.

Be aware of the fireworks/petards
Timisoara Public Transport Company brings to its travelers notice that on 22nd of December 2017, at Corneliu Miklosi Museum station an unknown person fired a petard in a waste bin causing damages on a large area around it.

19.12.2017 - New bus stops
Following our local travelers’ requests and different Torontal Road’s companies’ applications, starting from 20th of December 2017, two new counterpart bus stops will be established on the Express bus line number 6. The stops will be named Vox-Park and will be set up after the crossroad between Torontal Road with Felix Street.
Another set of counterpart bus stops will be established on the Express line number 4 and Express line number 4 barred routes, on Airport Street. The new stops will be called Swoboda.

Starting from 7th of December 2017, the bus line number 40 will return to its previous route through Popa Sapca Passage
The local public transport company informs you that starting from 7th of December 2017 the headquarters from Take Ionescu Boulevard will be relocated to Dambovita Boulevard.
From Thursday the discounts and concessions counter, the ticketing center, the economic entities and the invoicing department will relocate to Dambovita Boulevard. The previous departments will operate Monday to Sunday, from 6:00 am until 10:00 pm.

The bicycles from VeloTm transport system will be removed from all around the city due to the weather conditions.
02.12.2017 - Incident in traffic
Our company informs you that, as a consequence of the incident occurred on the evening of 2nd of December 2017, the timetable of Expres line 7 was offset by 2 hours.
Today, at 18:55, both the Expres line 7 bus and its passengers were attacked with eggs by unidentified persons. The same incident affected the next Expres line bus in the programme and the driver of Expres Line number 3.
The Expres line number 3 bus remained on its route but the other two buses from Expres line number 7 were disengaged for cleaning. The police are now conducting an investigation.
We are in the process of adjusting the schedule of Expres line 7, the next bus for this line will depart from Traian Grozavescu(Main Post Office)station at 20:15.

From 27th November until 3rd November 2017, between 06 am and 24 pm, RATT’s fare control staff will carry on last week’s actions on the public transportation as followed: Metropolitan Lines M11, M14, M22, M29, M35, M44, Express Lines 1, 2, 3, 7, 8; trolley bus lines number 14, 15, 16; bus lines number 5, 33, 33 barred; tram lines number 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 9.
           Pursuant to last week’s fare control 34 penalties were applied and 3 refusals of identification registered. Because of it, the means of transportation (tram line number 4, trolley bus number 15 and metropolitan line number M11) had encountered delays in daily schedule.
          We remind our travelers, including those who benefit from local cost discounts and concessions, that they must tap the travel card on the reader at each boarding. According to the Local Council Decision number 244/2016.12.20, all users of R.A.T.T. cards must hand in upon request the identification document along with the travel card at each fare control. The following actions are illegal and contrary to the Local Council’s decisions and legal provisions: no-tapping the card on the reader, the pupil/student I.D default, the traveler’s I.D. default, using someone else’s I.D. when traveling by public transportation.
         We warn all R.A.T.T. users to be aware of personal belongings when traveling with our vehicles, especially during winter season festivities. We also want to thank all travelers for the support showed to our ticket inspectors during their previous week activities.

According to the Local Council Decision nr. 244/2016.12.20, all the users of the R.A.T.T. card must hand in upon request the identification document along with the card when the company’s fare control staff/ticket inspectors perform the control. The following actions are illegal and contrary to the Local Council’s decisions and legal provisions: no-tapping the card on the reader, the pupil/student I.D default, the traveler’s I.D. default, using someone else’s I.D. when traveling by public transportation. Card/I.D. avoidance will also engage the mediation of Police and Gendarmerie. We ask you to keep in mind that throughout the control, the means of transportation are blocked and the delays will affect the established daily schedule.
